The month of September begins and the platforms are preparing to renew their catalogs with exclusive releases for their users. In the case of Amazon Prime Videothe movie menu expands with the arrival of the acclaimed Licorice Pizzathe latest movie Paul Thomas Anderson released in 2021 and starring Alan Haim Y Cooper Hoffmann.
On the series side, the streaming service will start the month with the long-awaited The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, based on the books by JRR Tolkien. In addition, it will present a private mattera period production set in the 1940s about a young detective.

Licorice Pizza: Licorice Pizza is the story of Alana Kane and Gary Valentine as they grow up and fall in love in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley in 1973. Written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, the film follows the deceptive navigation of first love. This film earned three Oscar nominations in 2021, including Best Picture.

goodnight mommy: Adaptation of the German film of the same name, this time starring naomi watts. The story takes place in a lonely country house, where twins live waiting for their mother to return in midsummer. When she comes home, bandaged up after cosmetic surgery, nothing is the same. The children begin to doubt that this woman is actually their mother.
a private matter: This new Prime Video original series takes place in the 1940s. Marina Quiroga, a daring upper-class girl with the soul of a detective, sets out to catch the serial killer who has been terrorizing her town with the help of her faithful butler Héctor . Marina will have to fight against the stereotypes of the time while she solves the mysteries and tries to run away from her mother, who will do everything possible for her to get married and leave her affair.
