That’s why today,The arrival of the Tour of Spain to the Region, will have Movistar as the protagonist. It will only be 55 kilometers that the peloton will ride on Murcian roads, but enough for the public to turn to a runner who has already gone down in history.
The factory of The hole Murcia in Alhama will be the epicenter of this eleventh stage of the Vuelta a España. The facilities of the company directed by Tomás Fuertes will host the start of this stage that will begin at 12:30 p.m., which will have a total of 191.2 kilometers -55 of them through the Region- and which will be completely flat.
From 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. there will be a control of signatures where Alejandro Valverde will be the most wanted, although three other Murcians participate in this edition of the Vuelta -Luis León, José Joaquín Rojas and Rubén Fernández-. The actual departure will be at 12:35 pm on Antonio Fuertes Avenue towards Totana on the N-340.
The peloton will pass through Avenida Ginés Campos, Calle Juan Carlos I, Avenida de la Constitución, Rambla de Don Diego and Camino del Almendrico before taking the exit launched on the N-340 after 7.7 km from where it will take to Totana, for where the runners will pass at 1:01 p.m. The day will continue towards La Hoya (1:18 p.m.) and then pass through Lorca (1:31 p.m.) through Avenida Europa, Juan Carlos I and Alameda de Cervantes. The race will turn right towards Campillo via the RM-620 and will leave the Region via La Campana (14.06) to enter Almería via Pozo de la Higuera (14.11). Then it will go through Pulpí (14.16), Cala Panizo (14.41), Villaricos (14.55), Vera Playa (15.01), Garrucha (15.09), Mojácar Playa (15.19), El Sopalmo (15.32), Carboneras (15.45), Agua Amarga (15.57 ), Fernán Pérez (16.18), Hortichuelas (16.27), Rodalquilar (16.32), La Boca de los Frailes (16.54), Ruescas (17.03) and finish line in Cabo de Gata (17.17), in front of the Church of Las Salinas, after 191.2 kilometers completely flat, subscribed to breakaways and a final sprint.
