Iberia will convert 1,692 temporary employees into permanent ones | Airlines News, rss1

Iberia will transform 1,692 temporary employee contracts into permanent ones. In other words, they will become part of the company with an indefinite contract. The agreement, signed with the commission for the monitoring of employment of airport services, “represents the most important improvement of contracts carried out in airports to date”, highlights from the air group (Iberia’s offensive for Aena’s handling: “Let’s go for it all”).

The change will become effective as of September 11, once the situation of the productive needs of the 29 airports in which Iberia Airport Services operates has been analyzed again.

To this figure of 1,692 transformations, we must add the 800 already carried out also in airports, after the end of the ERTE, on February 28.

With this measure, Iberia hopes to acquire an “advantaged position in the face of the challenges that lie ahead”, such as the contests for Aena’s handling licenses, the reduction of its debt or the improvement of operations (IAG and Globalia, favorites to take over Aena’s handling).

It is included in the Iberia Next Chapter transformation plan, which will be carried out over the next three years and will focus on initiatives related to job stability, diversity, talent, flexibility and recognition.
