WorldCrypto has announced that will refund the total cost of the ticket reservation to all who signed up for their Metaverse Day cryptocurrency event held at the WiZink Center this weekend, after Facua denounced before the General Directorate of Commerce and Consumption of the Community of Madrid the violation of consumer rights.

The event had been promoted as free but participants were charged a ‘reserve’ amount of around 50 euros.

The cryptocurrency macro-event opens its doors at the WiZink Center this Saturday, despite the controversy

After Facua’s complaint

Facua denounced the organizers of the cryptocurrency event because both the retention of amounts paid by the consumer for resignation and the payment of amounts for services not provided are contemplated as abusive clauses in the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users.

The MundoCrypto Metaverse Day, which was held on Saturday at the Wizink Center in MadridI know advertised as free but he charged 49.35 euros for seat reservation, which he would later return to those who finally attended the fair, except 2.35 for management fees.

Facua filed a complaint with the General Directorate of Commerce and Consumption of the Community of Madrid against the company MundoCrypto on August 25, in which he pointed out that article 87 of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, of November 16, which approves the revised text of the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users and other complementary laws , considers an abusive clause “the retention of amounts paid by the consumer and user for resignation, without contemplating compensation for an equivalent amount if the employer resigns”.

MundoCrypto has announced that it will return 100% of the cost of the ticket reservation to all those registered in its cryptocurrency fair

In addition, it argued that the same article also contemplates as an abusive clause “the payment of amounts for services not actually provided or the setting of compensation that does not correspond to the damage actually caused.”

Days after the complaint from Facua-Consumers in Action, MundoCrypto has announced that will return 100% of the cost of the reservation of the tickets to all those registered in your cryptocurrency fair, regardless of whether they finally attended or not, including management fees.

Facua expects MundoCrypto to proceed with the refund of the reserve “as diligently and quickly as possible, without unjustified delays in delivery.”
