Santander Corporate & Investment Bank (Santander CIB) announced this Tuesday the incorporation of Mike Bagguley as Global Head of Markets, as reported in a statement.
Bagguly has spent most of his career at Barclays, where he has held various management roles within the markets business, running macro products, foreign exchange, commodities or options.
He has also been director of the markets business at ABSA Bank, where he led the integration and transformation of the business after the acquisition of Barclays.
Most recently, he was COO of Barclays International and Barclays Investment Bank, responsible for technology, operating platforms, risks and controls with the aim of bringing greater business agility.
Santander CIB explains that the position of Global Head of Markets is a newly created function, which unifies the regional Markets businesses under a single leadership.
Santander’s Markets business offers risk management solutions, investment products and trade execution services to a wide range of clients, including corporates, financial institutions, financial sponsors and individuals.
