A dream summer 2022 for Spanish basketball. Our 5×5 Training Teams have made history, contesting the 8 finals of the 8 official FIBA championships in which they have participated, 6 European and 2 World Cups. There have been 8 medals (4 for men and another 4 for women) that have consolidated Spain as the great power of European youth basketball, to which must be added silver at the U16 Women’s Olympic Festival and the other 3 won in format tournaments 3×3.

The protagonists of this unprecedented year have been a total of 103 youngsters: 51 male and 52 female players.

Among the boys, Izan Almansa was the only one to have won two medals: gold in the European U18 and silver in the World U17. In girls, on the other hand, there have been several doubles and even a triplet, that of Iyana Martín, who has won 3 silvers: in the U17 World Cup, in the U16 European Championship and in the U16 FOJE Games.
