“The allegations brought against Armie Hammer in recent years are just the tip of the iceberg.” Discovery + shows the leg on HBO Max with ‘The saga of the Hammer: Scandal and perversion’

Last 2021 was a disastrous year for Armie Hammer. The actor, in addition to more or less absurd controversies such as the one that awarded him a kind of cannibal paraphiliahad to face a rape accusation by a woman with whom he would have maintained a relationship between 2016 and 2020. A cluster of events that marked the beginning of the end of his career.

To the rich controversy!

Since then, Hammer has been chaining layoffs, substitutions and cancellations of projects in which he was involved, including the feature film ‘Shotgun Wedding’‘The Billion Dollar Spy’ or ‘Worst team in the world’ —in which he was replaced by Will Arnett—. Now the time has come dedicate a docuseries.

‘The Hammer Saga: Scandal and Perversion’ is a Discovery+ documentary series to be included in the HBO Max catalog in which the filmmaking duo Elli Hakami and Julian P. Hobbs will explore the controversies that have engulfed Hammer and they will bring out the allegedly dark dirty rags of the family that gives the production its title.

Jason Sarlanespresident of the company’s Crime and Investigation, Linear and Streaming Content, spoke about ‘The Hammer Saga’, and gave clues about what we can expect her.

“The rape and abuse allegations brought against Armie Hammer in recent years are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the Hammer family. With ‘The Hammer Saga: Scandal and Perversion’ we witness truly disturbing details and sinister secrets that money and power could not hide forever. This documentary provides an important platform for the incredibly brave women who have reached out to share their stories, and we hope that their courage inspires others to continue meaningful conversations about abuse in our society.”

As promised, each episode will focus on “a depraved pattern of abuse that extends far beyond the accusations leveled against the disgraced actor.” If this morbid phrase gives you the bug, you can see ‘The saga of the Hammer: Scandal and perversion’ next September 2 on HBO Max. Its protagonist, meanwhile, will continue working in a hotel of the Cayman Islands.
