The new Spain kits for the Qatar 2022 World Cup are presented
Adidas has presented the kits that the Spanish soccer team will wear during the next World Cup in Qatar 2022. The first clothing of Spain in Qatar will maintain the traditional red, even more reinforced, while Spain’s second kit is much more groundbreaking, with blue tones and graphics inspired by the 1982 World Cup.
The intention of the brand, which has worked for two years with the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to develop these designs, is to emphasize the “sense of belonging”.
The red kit is intended to be “elegant”, an “instant icon, but one that can last over time”, they defend from Adidas. The red will be dark, without any type of graphic, while the navy blue details stand out on the neck along with the colors of the Spanish flag.
The frame of the shirt is also navy blue, reactivating the shield of Spain and the new Adidas logo for all the products of the next World Cup in Qatar.
In short, a design, that of Spain’s first kit, which is quite clean and “purely red”, based on the idea that “Spain is the Red and it has to be red”. In the development of the new shirts, they say, they have gone from the idea of ”taking colors from the past, interpreted in a modern way”.
The 1982 Spain World Cup jersey
As for the away shirt of Spain, it is light blue, with the bands of the country’s flag on the shoulders. Graphics inspired by the 1982 World Cup are added, “of the ball moving progressively on the front and on the sleeve”.
The kits, as expected, are made of state-of-the-art material with the clear objective that the Spanish internationals feel “athletic, fresh and comfortable to perform in the best possible way” on the pitch. “Let there be an air flow and a fabric that allows more breathing,” they point out. Sustainability has also been key to making them, by using recycled polyester and recovering plastic that could end up in the oceans.
“A country united by the color with which Spain plays its home games. Spain’s new first kit is inspired by the country’s football DNA,” Adidas reflects on its official website, where you can already purchase the new Spain kits. Do not miss them in the gallery that accompanies this news.
