The U17 3×3 defends the title in Athens from this Friday

After the brilliant bronze of the U18 3×3 World Cup, it is the turn of the next generation. Laia Conesa, Judit Oliva, Judit Valero and Carla Viegas travel to Athens to defend the title obtained in the last two editions (2019 and 2021).

In such a brilliant summer for training as this 2022, one of the last appointments takes us to Athens, with the European U17 3×3 that will be held in the Greek capital between Friday and Sunday. 12 teams fighting for the title that Spain still holds.

Those of Ana Junyer (Laia Conesa, Judit Oliva, Judit Valero and Carla Viegas) are framed in Group C along with Poland and Greece. There will be two games that will be played on Friday afternoon. The first two places will have a passport to the quarterfinals, where they will face some of the teams from Group A, made up of Germany, Hungary and Slovenia.

A year ago Elena Buenavida, Carla Brito, Inés Noguero and Noa Djiu won gold at the European U17 in Lisbon. Before the pandemic, it was Marta García, Laura Méndez, Laia Solé and Jùlia Soler who achieved it in Tblisi (Georgia), when she was still in the U18 category. Therefore, Spain defends the titles of the last two editions.
